some printed barcode can't be recognized by reader till enlarging size

HI all,

I am using Toshiba TEC printer (DPI=203)and ADS to print my barcode.

I use xdp and XDC file to generate the barcode in PDF format then print it to my Toshiba TEC printer.

My paper width is 45mm

in my xdp file, if I set  moduleWidth= 2 *1/203 inch,  my barcodes could be all printed on my paper.

but some of the barcodes could not be recognized by my barcode reader.

if I change my  paper with width=60mm, and set in my xdp file, if I set  moduleWidth= 3 *1/203 inch

the failed barcode could be recognized.

however, my boss does not approve for paper to width=60mm.

any advise to overcome this ?
