We have recently developed an ordering solution for perishable articles using an editable PDF. As part of the solution we have a report in the portal which pulls data for different departments of the retail store along with information on sourcing, sales history, delivery date etc. This report is further exported to a PDF which is basically an editable PDF and the user can download it and enter quantities for the articles he needs to order.There is a submit button provided on the PDF which submits the data to a staging table for ordering.
The issue we are currently facing is that once the editable PDF is downloaded to the desktop and we try to open the PDF, it takes about 2 mins to open the PDF. The average size of the PDF is about 100 KB. Also when the PDF is opening up we dont see any processing indicator to indicate that some action is happening . We dont see any spinning wheel or any other indication. I am not sure whether this is any particular attribute of the PDF which we need to set.
Appreciate your help in providing some expert advice for the 2 issues stated above.
