How to use XML file in PDF based form

Hi

 

I am working on one form, Where i

need to use xml file which is coming from XI, I want this xml file to insert in

Sap Table What now i am trying to do is i am creating one table in Data

Dictionary which will contain only two Columns (id and content). then i will use

XML Schema Based Interface in adobe form

builder.

 

My question is that i am doing the

right thing. Can someone tell me? the best

way.

 

1. When i get the xml file. Should i

upload this in SAP table first? then

2. In Adobe Form builder

using the XML Schema Based Interface can i use

this.

 

I have attached the xml file. which i want to use in Adobe form

Display internal tables twice in Adobeforms

Hi all,

 

I have a demand to print several internal tables two times. That internal tables get 'consumed', when they get displayed the first time, I know already.

Therefore as a workaround I copied all the internal tables. But due to performance and complexity reasons this is not the best way.

 

Do you have another way to display internal tables twice in Adobeforms?

ADS functionality - not able to generate PDF

Hello All,

 

I used program FP_PDF_TEST_00 to test if ADS is configured fine. It is ok.

 

But when i run FP_PDF_ERRORMESSAGE_TEST  ( Test Program: Readable Error Message ), it shows an exception which is what i assume is the reason for the PDF not generating.

 

This is the exception:

 

Expected exception for RENDER operation (seetext)

 

com.adobe.ProcessingException:

com.adobe.ProcessingException: Parser

configuration error while extracting properties

from form template

 

Please help me solve this issue.

 

The ADS is configured from PPM 4.0 to portal 7.3 system.

Dear All, We have configured ADS in DEV and QAS it is working fine. We have done the same configuration in PRD but it is giving the following error when we execute the program FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE: SYSTEM ERROR: ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.ProcessingException: XMLFM Exception during render: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE(200,101). Exception of class CX_FP_RUNTIME_INTERNAL System Info : SAP ECC EHP6 SAP NW 7.31 Kindly suggest some solution. Regards, Mustafa

Upload Tick Mark image for checkbox

Hi all,

 

I have one query while designing adobe forms, as i had google a lot but still not got any solution, so please request you to help me to resolve this :

 

As i have designing adobe forms for work permit in which there are lot of checkboxes but while checking it coming as 'X' in checkbox form but accoding to business requirement it should come as a 'Tick mark' sign..

 

so please guide me how i could approach for this.

 

one workaround as i know is upload and image of tickmark and bind them to checkbox, if it is solution then please guide how to achieve this....

 

and if there is any straightforward solution then it would also be appreciable...

Dynamic content on the master page

Hi All,

 

I have a simple problem. I have a master page with some header information almost all of which is fixed text. One piece of dynamic data does exist on the master page - the document number.

 

I've created a field in the master page which is bound to $.Agreement[].Customer[].DocumentNumber.

 

When the PDF is rendered in the browser, the first page has an document number as part of the header provided by the master page.

All subsequent pages have a header with the correct fixed text but the document number is blank. More strangely, when I save the PDF locally, the first document number is missing, but the one on page 2 is there.

 

Can anyone help populate all document numbers on all pages?

Adobe forms not executing

Hello Experts,

 

 

               I created the Forms ,Interface everything yesterday i executed it's working perfectly but today when i am trying to execute the forms it's not executing it's showing loading symbol like in that Image ,i been waited for 1 hour also but it's not executed. If anyone know's abt that means plzzz give me the solution..............

Table header not visible on all pages

Hi,

 

I have created a table, which have the following subforms.

 

MaterialBody ( Type -Flow Content  & Flow direction - Table )

   - Header     ( Type - Flow Content & Flow direction - Table row )

   - Data        (  Type - Flow Content & Flow direction - Table row )

 

In the output of my form i see all the records in table format, but my header is not visible on all the pages.

The header is visible only on the first page.

 

Can anyone suggest, why the header is not visible on every page. Thanks in advance.

ORC-B Font not working.

Hello Experts,

 

I designed a form which is using OCR-B font for a specifique invoice. When I do a preview in Adobe Livecycle Designer, the font is correctly applied. But when I use the VF03 transaction  (to call my Invoice Form), I do a preview before printing, the OCR-B Font is not used, it is replaced by a standard police.

 

Is anyone can help me in that issue ?

Data provider class

Experts,

 

I have 5 offline adobe forms. A portion of the form fields have been planned to be built dynamically since these fields vary across the 5 forms. Based on form type, I will fetch fields from a custom table & display them dynamically on form layout(For EHSM module).

 

Should i create 5 different custom data provider classes for these 5 forms & write my dynamic field population logic inside them?

 

Please share your valuable inputs.

Error coming 'You are not authorized to launch the PD workitem'

Hi,

 

This is regarding HCM forms and processes eforms. At some roleplayers the below error is coming.

You are not authorized to launch the PD workitem. Strange thing is if the user refreshes the browser

or open the form in someother system the message will not come and the eform will work.

 

Anyone came across this issue please reply.

SAP Forms by Adobe with Zebra Printers for printing Barcode Labels?

Hello

 

I work for an automotive company that is looking to implement SAP in North America.

 

One of our requirements is to print barcoded 4" x 6" labels off of Zebra Thermal Transfer Printers (Model ZM400).

 

Should we use SMARTFORMS or SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe for our label designs?

 

Are there major advantages / disadvantages with using one or the other when using Zebra printers?

 

Any information would be appreciated.

CORBA Connection to XMLForm failed...

Hi,

 

we are configuring the ADS and are unsuccesful. Here are the details:

-The Java instance (NW 70 SPS18) is installed on a seperate instance.

-The ERP 6.0 instance is ABAP only (NW70 SP15).

-OS is Solaris 10 64bit (supports ADS 32 bit acccording to the PAM),

-DB is Oracle 10.2

 

The RFC connection from ABAP to Java is working (HTTP 302 is returned)

The J2EE Destination is working (Error 404 is received but this is Ok accoding to manual)

 

The FP_PDF_TEST_00 program returns the version number of the ADS

The FP_TEST_00, FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE (with and without RFC destionation) and FP_CHECK_HTTP_DATA_TRANSFER (with and without RFC destionation) all crash with the same error. This is also logged in the Default Trace of the Java instance:

 

"CORBA Connection to XMLForm failed, please verify the binaries are deployed to the os_libs directory and that the XML Form Module service is started". You may be running on a non-supported platform.

 

[Error Log file "2009.12.07.165337SAFP<USERNAME>.pdf" written to/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global//AdobeDocumentServices/renderErrorLog/errorFiles]"

 

Service XMLFormService: Native process (PID=0) /usr/sap/<SID>/JC##/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin/XMLForm.exe terminated abnormally with error code 9

 

ld.so.1: XMLForm: fatal: libX11.so.4: open failed: No such file or directory

 

couldn't set locale correctly

 

 

The binaries are there however. When executing the XMLFom.exe from the shell using sidadm it returns pretty much the same errors as listed above. It's looking for the files in /bin/ instead of /usr/sap/<SID>/JC##/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin but this could be that your not supposed to run the script from the command prompt.

 

interestingly enough, the generated PDF error files are ok. And in the PDF the message is "no errors reported".

 

I've renamed the adssap folder as suggested in some forums and the folder was regenerated. However, it made no difference.

 

I've configured ADS quite a few times now, but never ran into this. It seems to be an OS related problem, but I could use some help resolving it.

Images in Interactive Adobe Form

Hi All,

 

I have a requirement where one offline Interactive adobe form will go to user through Email.

User will fill this form and upload image from his desktop and revert back form in Email.

 

In SAP we will read XML data of form and create new form based on entry in form coming through Email.

 

I am facing issue with image inserted in Form1(Which user will receive ,fill and send back in Email).

 

In form one i have created Image field where user will browse and insert image,binding of this field with a attribute(GV_IMAGE) of XSTRING type.

 

In our SAP system when I am reading content of XML of this form I am getting GV_IMAGE attribute value which is in multiple lines after parsing XML file.

 

I am getting format of GV_IMAGE content(is it BASE64 encypted value or some other type).

 

I tried to decode GV_IMAGE content by assuming that it is in BASE64 encrypted form but as in method to decrypt BASE64 value importing parameter is of STRING type and here in XML we have GV_CONTENT value in a internal table i am not getting way to convert it.

 

Please suggest me approach to achieve complete functionality and suggest me that am i doing something wrong in Form 1 also to upload image or at any place what will be correct approach for this.

How to display two different data types in one form fields in Adobe Forms

Hi Experts,

  I have an requirement and stucked on it. I have an internal tables containing fields as below:

   table : IT_tab

                 WAERS          T_BAL          L_BAL

               ---------------        ------------       -------------

TYPES    ( WAERS )      ( DMBTR )    ( STRING )

DATA:       USD                -1234.67                            (USD then 2 decimal place)

                 IDR                                   123467 -          ( No decimal Place )

 

1. Each line has data as currency( WAERS), total balance (DMBTR), and converted balance(STRING). Adobe Form has a form field named f1 (as decimal

    type), If waers is USD then I have to display T_bal at Form field f1, if it is IDR then have to display L_bal. Please suggest me how to do this.

 

2. The problem is with minus ( - ) sign. if try to display value from L_bal, It display minus sign at right hand side, while it should be display at left side. Please tell how to do that?

Field validation - Offline form

Experts,

 

I have an offline adobe form with 3 text fields. Users can enter up to 250 characters in this field. I need to put a validation that if all 3 fields are having 50 characters each, ONLY then user should be allowed to hit submit button. Please let me know how to handle this scenario,

 

1) Should we disable or hide the submit button till 50 char is entered or can we show the button but still stop the web service call on button click(Webservice call to send the offline form information to SAP).

 

Also please let me know how to technically achieve above validation.

Trigger mail on submit

Experts,

 

I have an offline adobe form. I need to trigger a mail to user who is submitting the offline form that his request has been submitted.

 

I believe i have to design some web service call on button click of offline form.

 

Being a newbie, I am not having a picture about how I can wrap some web service code behind a button click of offline form.

 

Please share your valuable inputs.

Repeating Multiple header rows of table in subsequent pages

Hi Gurus,,

I'm struck in a typical problem.

 

I have a Table with 2 header rows in a flowed subform.

when content flows to the next page, the table displays either the Ist header row or the second Header row depending on the checkbox selected for the individual header row.

 

The problem is how to get both the rows in the next page.

When I try to select both the header rows for display in initial as well as subsequent pages either of the one only remains on activation of the form.

 

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Convert CRM Smartform object CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACT to Adobe Form

Has anyone converted a CRM Smartforms object 'CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACT' to Adobe Form, and customize the converted Adobe Form object?

 

I have tried export the Smartforms object to Adobe Form without any success, could anyone here have done this kind of conversion before?

 

I did convert a billing Smartforms to Adobe Form in ECC successfully, but after the conversion I could not figure out where Header records or the Main window start and end, of course the lay out is a total mess.

 

Any advice will help.
