Adobe Text changes in layout not reflecting in output

Hi Experts,

 

We are facing a problem in custom adobe form in which the static text changes are not reflecting in output. For example, If I change the static text like from 'Duplicate' to 'Testsys', it is not reflecting in output.  And this happens only for the invoice forms not for other forms like delivery note etc.

 

When I deleted the statictext element completely from layout & activated, it is reflecting in the output. i.e. that element disappeared

 

Why this behavior occurs? Kindly guide to proceed as we have some urgent requirements to be completed.

ADS Configuration Doubts

Hello Gurus,

 

I configured ADS on our PI landscape which on SAP Netweaver 7.1. I was able to configure and tested successfully and able to view the test page from PI ABAP level.

 

 

I confirm this can be work by executing the following program on PI ABAP :

 

1) FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE

2) FP_TEST_0

3) FP_TEST_IA_01

 

So, from my point of view, the ADS configured successfully on PI.

 

My concern now is, I am trying to connect/use the ADS service on PI from other SAP systems like Portal/R3/BI system.

 

For R3 system to PI, I created RFC and I confirm this RFC working fine.

 

However when I try to test the above mention programs from the R3:

 

1) FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE

It work fine if I unchecked the "With Destination  Service", but if I checked the "With Destination  Service" it throws: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem Accessing data from Destination :dest :FP_ICF_DATA_<SYSID>//sap/bc/fp/form/layout/FP_FORM_SECURITY_TEST.XDP?fp-language=DE;......

(<SYSID>==R3 system ID)

 

2) FP_TEST_0

Not exist

 

3) FP_TEST_IA_01

Same error just like on 1).

 

So I checked in SICF, under /default_host/sap/bc/ and I try to activate the service , but it failed because the ADSuser is not exist in D01 system. This part a bit confusing for me because:

 

I used ADS RFC which I created on R3 to test FP_TEST_IA_01, but why it's complaining com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem Accessing data from Destination :dest :FP_ICF_DATA_<SYSID>//sap/bc/fp/form/layout/FP_FORM_SECURITY_TEST.XDP?fp-language=DE...

 

The RFC giving : Http Response 200, Status Text OK.

 

Basically I have done everything I could but I am not sure I am not getting the test PDF page from R3. Is that any other configuration that I missed here.

Can you please advice me here?

How to hide a Sub Form when there are no rows in table.

Hello Experts,

 

I am trying to build a Adobe Form , which displays data using multiple tables . And each table has its own Sub form .  I am trying to hide the whole sub form when the table has no records .

 

Can this only be done by writing a script on the Adobe Form or is there any other way to achieve this ?

 

I have tried writing different variations of java script to check if the table is empty and change the 'presence' of sub form to 'hidden' . But it does not seem to work .

 

I would appreciate your help or any code snippet on which can achieve this .

Can we generate DSC field dynamically in a subform?

I have requirement as I need to generate signature field dynamically in a subform . Is it possible ? When I put DSC field in repeatable subform, I got the below warning. PFA the screenshot. Please guide me in this issue.

Error during installing Adobe LifeCycle Designer

Hi all,

 

I am trying to install Adobe LifeCycle Designer 8.1 , already downloaded all files from service marketplace.

But while running set up,getting below error message:

 

The SAP Front-End Installer executable is unable to process the XML files.Restart the uninstallation  with the

NwSapSetup executable installed  on the workstation.

 

Do anyone knows about this error message.

Can custom text be sent to a Purchase Order Form?

Hello,

 

I have a custom PO form that I created in Form Builder. We would like to print the word "Changed" on documents that have been changed.

 

Can this be done with a text field? Or will one of the custom fields in the Form Builder accomplish this?

Landscape and Portrait Format - Adobe Forms

Hellos,

 

Need your help and ideas .

 

We have designed our adobe forms in portrait formats. Now, we have a particular printers where paper will be

 

in landscape format when getting printed. One solution, which we already got is to design new layouts in landscape format.

 

But question is , can the same be achieved at device type level without changing our layouts from portrait to landscape at design time.

 

Doing at device type level, will avoid creation of duplicate layouts ( portrait and landscape ).

Print two different tables on alternate pages in SAP adobe form

Dear All,

 

I am facing issue while creating two pages for an adobe form which has two different tables data.

 

I have created two pages and incorporated two different subforms for the same as shown below:-

The floating fields on both the pages are mapped to a table. So, the first page is repeated twice and second page is also repeated twice.

However, the first page is displayed in continuation as two pages and second page in the same way.

Please find the preview in the attached document.

I am pasting the last page here since unable to attach it.

My requirement is to display the first page then third page as second page, second page as third page and fourth page as fourth page itself.

In short, I want Page1, then Page2, again overflowed data of Page1 and then overflowed data of Page2.

 

I tried using the concept of duplex printing, but in that case when I am creating a dummy blank page, I am able to display only the texts present on second page and not the data which is in there.

 

Please reply at the earliest on how to resolve this.

 

Is there any javascript which can help me to achieve what I want?

Subtotals in Adobe forms

Hello Experts,

 

I have created a table using subforms, as I cant fulfill the requirement using table directly.

Inside the subform (Flowed), I have placed all the fields based on the requirement and it is working fine.

Outside the above subform, i have placed a Total field and I used formcalc to display the total. It is also working fine.

 

Now I dont know how to add sub total in the above mentioned part. I have tried many options, but i am not able to achieve it.

Can someone, pls. suggest a solution to handle subtotal.

Adobe Interactive Forms Web Service Not Working

Hi,

I created a Web Service within SAP, registered it with SOAMANAGER. Tested it with SOAPUI and SAP Consumer Proxy and its working.

Now, i have a requirement to create an Adobe Interactive Form which can be accessed by any team member to update their details.

I followed the following steps after successfully testing the Web Service

a) Created an Adobe Form with an empty interface

b) Created a new Data Connection with WSDL as provided by my web service

c) Dragged the Input and output fields from the Data Connection to the Master Page.

d) Added an Execute Button with Bindings to the Web Service.

e) When i run it,either by executing it or by doing Print Preview, the button is not working.

f) I also tried it with sample Calculator WSDL which is public and still it doesn't work.

 

Kindly, share your thoughts on where is the issue

Images are not loaded from external server in PDF

Hi Experts,

 

We have recently configured the ADS configuration between ECC and PI (only JAVA). All the PDF tests are working fine as per note:944221.

Now the user when saving the PDF via print preview, he is unable to view the images which are located in external servers (Share point).

Could you please help me how can we view the images if they are located in external servers.

Adobe Forms and SAP Table interface

Dear All

 

I am a functional consultant and had a concern/doubt on adobe forms.We are getting the adobe forms developed for invoice. We have a webdynpro screen built and calling form from the application. The requirement is to edit few details in the adobe forms and save the form in system which is happening. Also we would want to store the details of the printed invocie in a ztable for the reporting and workflow purpose. So is it possible to store the forms details to ztable? If yes how we can do it as when we click on a button on invoice form, its just rotating and its neither appearing for debugging nor saving. Please help

Unable to Scan 40 char barcode in 48 x 76mm size

Hi all

 

We have designed a 40 character 3 of 9 bar code label in adobe forms .The label page size is 48 x 76 mm.

Now we are unable to scan it on printing on the actual label size. If we zoom it to  more than 150 % and print on a paper ,then the scanner is able to scan it.

 

On analyzing it ,we found that the lines are getting merged in the label print in the original size.

 

Is there any way to change the X dimension in adobe forms.

 

The check sum is none and wide/narrow ratio is set to 3 .

 

Is there any way to achieve this?

 

Also if someone could explain the exact purpose of check sum and wide narrow ratio then it might be helpful.

Dynamic Change the Captioned Text

Hi Guru,

 

Original Captioned is "1234"

But Business Requirement is to change them dynamically depend on program passed parameter.

 

If ($.parent.TESTRUN.isNull) then

    $.parent.TESTRUN.caption = "AAAA"

else

    $.parent.TESTRUN.caption = "BBBB"

endif

 

Such Logic already applied to

 

initialize; doReady;ready:Form;ready"layout

 

 

But the result is Always "1234".

 

Any Idea what is missing?

Read table from data connection

Hi,

 

I am designing a PDF form which has a data connection with SAP which is loading correctly on the mapped fields when the document is generated.

Apart from those fields I have a requirement to hide tables rows in this form after reading data from the data connection. The table looks like the highlighted one below - ET_COND_TEXT1:

I have to read the data in the field CCONDTYPE and CCONDGRP. I've tried logic as below but it doesn't seem to be working:

Retrieving the saved adobe from data

Hi Experts,

 

We have an interactive adobe form where user can fill in the details, and then press submit button available in the form. Submit button is bound to a web service which updates a custom table with the details filled in. This adobe form is available on the share point of the client where he can perform this action. One of the fields available is comments field.

 

User's requirement is that once user puts some comment and then presses submit, the comment should be stored in a custom table. We are good till this point.

 

But when he later opens the same pdf once again, the comments entered should be available in the form. Any suggestions how can we achieve it?
